We know our qualifications and ideals are important, but so are personalities. Since you’ll be working with us, we wanted to share a little bit about how we’ve become the team we are today, and why we think you’ll love working with us…
JENNIFER NEUMAN – Founder/Creative Director
After spending her first years out of college trying on a few different hats within the print design world, Jennifer finally decided it was time to jump on the technology bandwagon and head West. There she was lucky enough to become immersed in the “start-up” culture of the mid-90s and learned the ways of the Force that have shaped her into what she is today – an innovative, driven and caring business owner who utilizes her multitude of creative talents and expertise to put together the most inspired and successful digital product possible. Wow, that’s a mouthful. Take a second to regroup. In her 17 years in the business, Jennifer has worked with such notable companies as ESPN, ABC, the Walt Disney Company, UFCW, Tommy Bahama and more. She truly believes that hard work and respect are often what’s lacking in the business world today so she does her best to fill in those gaps. She prides herself in being a design chameleon who can easily transform her style to meet any client request.
Jennifer is a graduate of Northern Illinois University’s school of Art, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication; discovered that “all-nighters” are a necessary evil associated with her career choice; and learned the hard way that even though tofu can look like chicken, it definitely does not taste like chicken.
ALEX NEUMAN – Associate Creative Director
Legend has it that Alex was born with a stylus pen in his hand. Technology comes easy to him, as does his never-ending sense of style. Put those two things together and you’ve got one badass designer where the sky’s the limit. Always on the cutting edge of the latest trends, Alex brings a more modern and digital feel to the Hip House - but that’s not to say he can’t slip into a more resigned and corporate style when he needs to. His fourteen years in the field spent working with such notable companies as Nintendo of America, The Walt Disney Company, and most recently, Titleist Golf have given him a wide range of experience that has allowed for his unique growth and design technique. Whether deciphering the latest ActionScripting for Flash, defending his title of “Photoshop Guru”, or figuring out how to actually fit all of that text onto a tiny little postcard, he’s your man.
Alex is a graduate of Northern Illinois University’s school of Art, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree; Dee-Jayed at a club where he often had to put up with customers requesting terrible songs like YMCA even though he was “already in the middle of his techno mix”; and gained a true appreciation for fried food and late night tv.
